Disclaimer: I hav always been accused of writing too much.. n for my long status.. even wen it does or doesnt concern anyone.. I wanted to muse aloud so i have.. Read at ur own risk!!! But dont come asking me about why i write too much!!.. tat would be too risky for u!!! :D :D :D

I started to write a status..... n ended up writing a note.... Thanks to my habit of scribbling entirely too much.....

I always wonder why do i write so much? Is it to explain things to people when i am not able to do it while talking to them? Or is it to satisfy my need to say, talk, think aloud...

I found tat the former does have a little influence on my writing.. but the latter is more accurate.. i simply hav to say the things on my mind.. i hav always found it too difficult to suppress my emotions n words... Given any situation, i just have to speak wats on my mind, wat i feel is ryt.. even if it concerns me or anyone else... though saying it aloud never gets me anywhere(coz most of the time my big mouth is not welcomed) :P :D i still dont give up!!!(old habits die hard u know) :P :P :D :D

This note is a reflection of one of my previous statuses... I am sure i am no celebrity, so as anybody wud remember my status.. so i am quoting it again...

"Worst enemies become best frnds or so to say frnds of convenience, Best frnds become strangers or so to say pretty acquaintances. Lol.. Aint it funny? Part of life, I guess!"

N today I was watching sumthing on tv sumtime back, n there someone said..

"Everything is temporary in life, be it love, be it hate, be it care or be it anger."

I realized tat it was so true.. everything is temporary, be it relationships or friendships, be it love or hate, be it care or affection, be it anger or forgiveness..

People, emotions and relations change n take different forms than they were before.. Nothing is permanent.. not even anger and hatred.. n i can vouch for tat personally.. there is nothing like friends forever.. there is nothing like enemies forever... love forever and hate forever.. we humans hav this big attention span problem.. we get over everything.. be it love or be it hate.. be it anger.. be it joy!!..

Best friends can become strangers... n those people whom u never thought would be a part of ur life, mite end up becoming one of ur closest ties... They are all phases of life... Everything is temporary... No permanent bliss n no permanent agony!!!.. We get over almost everything!!!.. (except bad hair days :P :D n with me its almost everyday!!! :D :D )

So the lesson i learn't in lets say these past two years is tat "NEVER SAY NEVER."

Never say u wont or wud do something.. never be so rigid wid ur ideologies n principles in life... u never know wen u wud end up welcoming n doing those exact things u said Never too!!... :D :D

On this note m signing off!!.. Enough Crap For today!! My Cafe is waiting for me!!! :D :D :D

Why is the media here so negative?
Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements? We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse acknowledge them--- Why?
We are the first in milk production.
We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.
We are the second largest producer of wheat.
We are the second largest producer of rice.
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit.

There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters.

I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.

In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.

Why are we so NEGATIVE?

Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign T. Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology.

Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this lecture,when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a developed India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed India . You must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed nation.

Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance.

Got 10 minutes for your country? If yes, then read; otherwise, choice is yours.
YOU say that our government is inefficient.
YOU say that our laws are too old.
YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.
YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke,
The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination.
YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.

YOU say, say and say. What do YOU do about it?

Take a person on his way to Singapore . Give him a name - YOURS. Give him aface - YOURS. YOU walk out of the airport and you are at your International best. In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts on the roads or eat in the stores. YOU are as proud of their Underground links as they are. You pay $5 (approx. Rs. 60) to drive through Orchard Road (equivalent of Mahim Causeway or Pedder Road ) between 5 PM and 8 PM.. YOU come back to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have over stayed in a restaurant or a shopping mall irrespective of your status identity... In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU?

YOU wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai .
YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered in Jeddah .
YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London at 10 pounds ( Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and ISD calls are billed to someone else.'
YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then tell the traffic cop,'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?). I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get lost.'
YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage pail on the beaches in Australia and New
Zealand
Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are still talking of the same YOU..
YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the same here in India ?

Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr. Tinaikar , had a point to make.. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the
officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the pressure in his bowels? In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the job. Same in Japan . Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls to choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility.

We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin.
We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms.
We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity.
This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related towomen, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home.. Our excuse?
'It's the whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system? What does a system consist of ? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbours, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU.
When it comes to us actually making a positive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along & work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight out
to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country.. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money..

Dear Indians, The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a greatdeal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too.... I am echoing J. F. Kennedy 's words to his fellow Americans to relate to Indians.....

'ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA
AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA
WHAT AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY'

- ‘Depressed???’ , ‘Guilty???’, ‘Worried???’ – Learn to let go!!!!

“I will never FORGET nor FORGIVE this!!!!”

How many times in life we would have been in a phase when we have said these lines!!.. Just try saying these words aloud!!... Listen to what they imply!!.. Can u feel the hurt and helpless anger therein? Can u feel the betrayal, the feeling of being cheated, let down and taken for granted??.. can u??.. Are u able to??..

You probably also feel a sense of pride, a sense of control in tat declaration tat there will be no forgiveness for tat person!!.. You think u hav the control over the situation wen u deny them forgiveness. You would like to put conditions n resolutions on tat person before u forgive them. They should, bend, ask for apology, grovel, admit their flaw n fault, show remorse or more before you come down to forgive them… Trust me! U have these unspoken conditions n wishes!!!!...

Now, temme something. M sure all of us hav been in such situations one time or the other. Does anything along the lines of the above mentioned thought process happen? Often, next to none of these things happen. U see No apologies forthcoming.. no admission of wrong… nor is there any show of remorse. That person, as in the offender or pain inflictor gets along wid his/her life just fine!!... U hang on to ur ego by not forgiving and they hang on to theirs by not asking for it. Nothing but the barrier between u is thickened leaving u stranded n literally nowhere!!!!!!!!...

When you refuse to forgive u know wat happens?

· U go on holding on to the situations which hurt u all the more. So, in one way u are still allowing tat person to hurt u…

· And everytime u bring up tat memory, it eats u up.. Coz’ u drag each and every teeny weny detail about tat situation.. relive every moment of it.. n drain urself out completely!!!!....

· U urself hav made victim out of urself.. n continue to bleed wid no fault of urs..

· By not giving tat person fogiveness, rather than making them pay. U are the one who is paying the dues!!..

The only sane n wise way to free urself from the painful memories.. erase ur hurts.. to live.. is to forgive. Forgiveness is not ur charity to them, but a gift to urself… a gift which frees u of the past.. d hurts.. d guilts..

It gives u space to breathe.. to live.. to move on.. to look forward to life… to grow up as human beings..

Remember,

“Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong, the weak cannot forgive!!”

When u forgive someone it shows ur strength not ur weakness.. It exemplifies ur emotional maturity. Forgiveness allows u to be free.. free thinker’s empowered and emotionally adept people!!!...

Being Helpless!!!!!......

HELPLESS!!!!!!......

This word frightens me to death..... Scares the hell out of me.......
Being helpless is perhaps the scariest thing in my life... N incidentally it happens all the time... Ummm.. not all the time maybe... but too many times to scare me.....

I feel helpless when i see children who should be in schools or secure at their homes, begging on the roads... i probably can give them money/food at that moment.. But beyond that m helpless!!!!!!....

I feel helpless when i see kids abandoned on the roads, babies left in orphanages... How can anyone give up their own child???!!!!.. Look out and see how many parents crave, pray n plead to God for the blessing he has bestowed upon u!!.....

When i see some old grandpa's n grandma's.... living their second innings of life.... ALONE!!!... In old age homes.. or sometimes neglected in their own homes... fighting the new demons of life all by themselves.. I feel helpless.... How can a child shun a parent like tat.... A parent who has not only given u life!!.. But also nurtured it!!!....

When i see terrorists blowing apart this country to pieces... because of misguided values... i feel helpless.... helpless to stop them....

When i see the youth submitting or turning towards terrorism as solution to their problem.. as a revenge to their pain.. i feel helpless!!!.... helpless to guide them.... helpless to make them understand that, giving back that pain, resorting that harm on innocent people can never ever lessen your pain or compensate your loss....

When I see my family and friends in pain.... when i see them upset..... distraught.... heart-broken.... anguished..... let down.... I feel helpless!!!.... I feel so helpless...... Helpless in easing their pain... in lessening their hurts.... in consoling them... Helpless coz' they don't seem to need me.....

This HELPLESSNESS threatens to overwhelm me.... undermine me..... alienate me... Making me feel insecure of my necessity in this world.... Unwanted by the relations i have been blessed with n the ones i have formed.... Uncertain about my reason to live on!!!!!....
But most of all... it makes me feel IMPOTENT!!!.... A complete FAILURE!!!!!!!.... coz' i cant do damn about all this except for cribbing here.... condemn myself... or let my tears wither for waste........ :(:(:(:(:(

Let me be very honest.... I still don't have any idea why i started this blog.. or why i still have it.... It most certainly is not my journal... I started and stopped writing a diary long back... Not because its a tedious process.... oh no!!!.. not at all!!!... (by now its quite understandable tat i like writing lot of crap)

But because writing a journal can be really distressing.. when u look back.. it takes u back to the same painful journey u have come through.. through the same pains.. losses.. n MISTAKES!!!..... Mistakes for which i have yet to forgive myself for... Its quite amusing at times tat, its so easy to forgive others... But forgiving thyself is next to impossible... or if at all it happens u ask yourself a price for it....

Anyway, coming back to my blog.... i sometimes have this BIG urge to write down every little thing, every silly thought tat comes to my mind...
Every heart break i go through.. every betrayal i have been subjected to... Every time i failed at something or the other..... But i just cant seem to.... the fear of baring myself to the world. is too big!!!!....

But for my sanity atleast i need to write down what i feel.. otherwise all this bottled up inside me will make me go mad!!!....

For once m gonna say every random thing tat comes into my mind...

first being,

Hmmm.. Yesterday a friend of mine asked me why do i have a blog if i don't write in it???..... Her question threw me off!!!..... I was really shocked when she asked me about my blog... Coz' leave alone telling others even i sometimes don't remember about my blog.....
I guess i was gaping at her so much tat she burst out laughing.... Now, first things first... I simply had to know how she came across my blog..... She ended the mystery saying she googled my name... Now, i was shocked again.... googled my name??.. She truly must have been very bored to be googling my name... m very sure of tat.....
Now lets come back to her query..... Y have a blog, if i have nothing to write in it....
How can i answer her.. when i don't have an answer myself.....
I really didn't want to give her excuse... m not good at making up things.. so i told her the truth.... tat..
I have no clue Wat to write.... Wat to write about....
N sometimes i do start writing something.. but give it up half-way... when Wat i write stops making sense.. or wen i really dunno how to end Wat i have started....
M a late bloomer in many ways... so wen i finally do find the right ending to my writings... my mood to write leaves me...
tats wen she said... tat i should write.. anything and everything tat comes to my mind.... even if it is a whole pile of nonsense... coz there is no better way of venting one's thoughts than writing 'em down...

Hmmm...... Happy Birthday to my blog!!!!!!.....

Sounds weird huh??... wishing a blog..... but hey.. who cares.....

So.. its been one year since i opened this blog.... One whole year!!!!!...... n in this time..... i haven't really written anything here...... at least nothing worthwhile......

My sole purpose for opening this blog was to THINK ALOUD.... coz i hav always had sooo much to say.... but haven't ever said anything aloud.. atleast not wen it counts.. writing it always seemed it easier than saying it aloud.....
I needed a place to vent my thoughts.... a sounding board(or a writing board to be precise...)
I hav never been the one to talk about myself to ppl... hey.. not because m so modest or a saint tat i don't want ppl to be disturbed by my problems.... It was the sheer fear of being laughed at.. embarrassed... or simply d fear of being considered a whiner...
Even now if u ask me.. wat is my problem.... i wudn't hav an answer...
Sounds stupid huh???... yesh it is.... so.. i thought maybe i cant say wat i feel.. wat i think... maybe i can write it down......
But, something still holds me back.. even from writing it down..... maybe its sheer laziness.....
nah!!!.... i can write pages n pages... widout making any sense at all....
So.. if not laziness then wat... Maybe, the same fear... fear of not being understood....
or most importantly the fear of being misunderstood....

FEAR!!!!!..... i truly hate tat word..... i mean i fear the word fear.... coz i fear so many things..... but the biggest fear..... is of not being needed.. needed by ppl... u so desperately need...
